In response to a Federal Court order (March 31), USCIS has issued an alert on Continuation of 2023 Designation of TPS Venezuela4. Specifically, USCIS announced that EADs with category A12 or C19 and a “Card Expires” date of September 10, 2025, April 2, 2025, March 10, 2024, or September 9, 2022 are automatically extended through April 2, 2026, pending further litigation.
Individuals may also apply for new EAD cards with an October 2, 2026 expiration date. The EAD card with the I-797 Receipt Notice for the I-765 application may be used to show an extension of up to 540 days or until October 2, 2026, whichever is earlier. USCIS Announcement
The Trump Administration has done this “under protest” believing that there is no crisis in Venezuela, and that their attempt to terminate the designation is not subject to review.
